This LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position is located in the Plans and Integration Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, at an ANG Wing and is part of the CA 144 FW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12, is to manage, direct, develop and implement policy programs and procedures for the accurate management of Wing Logistics planning. Serves as the Logistics Officer/Specialist and provides administrative and technical oversight to a lower-graded specialist. This position is responsible for fully prepared, assigned unit personnel and equipment for Aerospace Expeditionary Force/Wing (AEF/AEW) Operations around the world.

Qualifications

General Experience: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; Experience using computer and automation systems. LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level experience in assisting the Wing Commander and MAJCOM in determining the type, number or quantity of troops and equipment available for tasking; and schedules, through correspondence, with headquarters (i.e., ACC, AMC, NGB, ANGRC, and Numbered Air Forces to accomplish specific mission requirements; Experience conducting and participating in site surveys to ascertain, identify, and plan airlift and logistical support requirements needs to deploy, employ, sustain and redeploy the Wing and subordinate units; Experience analyzing Wartime Aircraft Activity (WAA) tasking; determining availability of tasked personnel and equipment for tasking; and managing the War Reserve Material (WRM) assets at home station and deployed locations.
