This position serves as a Cloud Engineer reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for developing cloud management processes across the organization. This includes articulating, testing and maintaining future vision for cloud management The role supports the Chief Information Officer. Partners with Chief Engineering Architect for driving the implementation of strategic and business data management objectives with significant impact on the success of DCSA.

- The incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain appropriate IT/Security certifications standards (IAT) Level II as defined by DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140-M, within six months of the appointment date.
- The incumbent must sign a Statement of Understanding regarding the certification requirement and maintaining the appropriate certification is a condition of employment.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-13) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud-based architectures.
Must have advanced knowledge of IT/data architecture, enterprise security, and multilevel systems integration.
Proficiency in SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud strategy is required, alongside skills in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and stakeholder collaboration. Experience in aligning designs with regulations, defining technical specifications, and solving complex integration challenges is essential.
