You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Logistics Support Team (LST) section of the Fleet Operations Division of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Duties
You will ensure supply operations are sustained to support material requirements onboard Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) units.
You will perform one or more phases of inventory management including requirements determination, acquisition, local purchase, status tracking, distribution, accountability, financial, issue, retention, and disposal.
You will perform duties related to the overall logistics requirement, such as scheduling and conducting inventory onboard an LCS unit and at the Transient Shed facility.
You will perform restocking, researching, shipping, and preparation of shipping documents online and manually; prepare, coordinate, and conduct shipping of material to include Depot Level Repairable carcass processing, reporting, and turn-ins.
You will interface with the fleet to coordinate and provide service, to include explaining procedures, discussing and resolving problems, obtaining information concerning plans, and deciding how to support operational requirements.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: A mastery knowledge of local afloat supply procedures involving United States Naval Vessels. Specialized experience must demonstrate all of the following 1) Utilize various supply databases to review and validate outstanding requisition to include inventory allowance fills; 2) Schedule and conduct inventory on United States Naval Vessels; 3) prepare, coordinate and conduct shipping of material and correct discrepancies as needed; 4) Coordinate with customers related to explaining procedures, discussing and resolving problems, obtaining information concerning plans and deciding how to support operational requirement.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
GS-09 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
