You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for NAVSUP Weapon System Support within the Fleet Movement Team of the Transportation and Distribution Department. You will be a Strategic Mobility subject matter expert with special emphasis on Special Airlift Assignment Mission (SAAM) coordination and validation.
Duties
You will be a Strategic Mobility subject matter expert with special emphasis on Special Airlift Assignment Mission (SAAM) coordination and validation and execution of the US Fleet Forces (USFF) Opportune Lift (OPLIFT) program.
You will direct coordination between unit and US Transportation Command (USTC), 618th Air Operations Center (AOC) Tanker Airlift Command and Control (TACC).
You will properly guide customers to the optimal transportation solutions and practices/procedures for all modes of transportation.
You will be highly proficient in Single Load Planner (SLP) application within Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES).
You will coordinate with global customers and commands and comply with theater or command specific transportation guidance.
You will coordinate with Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships and have a basic knowledge of ship loading procedures to execute the USFF OPLIFT program.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Ability to apply a wide range of logistics management principles, theories, and processes to a variety of studies, investigations, and assignments with the highest degree of resourcefulness, ingenuity, and inventiveness;
2) Expertly skilled in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating information, drawing conclusions, and recommending appropriate action;
3) Prioritize and coordinate program plans and proposals;
4) Knowledge and abilities are required to originate and formulate first-ever logistics management concepts, programs, and procedural and automated systems;
5) Ability to research, analyze, assess, and evaluate extremely complex problems and write completed staff papers and correspondence;
6) Exceptional oral and written communication skills and superior skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and the current Defense Automated Messaging Systems are critical;
7) Expertly skilled in evaluating and applying the principles, practices, and request processes for the DOD systems, programs, and concepts for potential use in the LOOP/ OPLIFT programs..
