You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the Enlisted Promotion Unit, Promotion Section, Manpower Management Performance Branch, Manpower Management Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Department HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will analyze, research, provide advice and prepare official response to requests to delay, deliver or revoke a promotion from a SNCO's chain of command to the CMC.
You will utilize judgement, initiative, and resourcefulness in researching and interpreting guidelines for adaption to specific civil and military misconduct cases.
You will monitor suspense dates and update the enlisted promotion database to reflect processing progress/constraints of each case.
You will retrieve data from various information sources for use in responding to seniority discrepancies, correspondence and for ad hoc reporting requirements.
You will prepare Marine Administration (MARADMIN) Messages announcing monthly promotions to the total force, and reports promotion information pertaining to Marines and units into the MCTFS.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting intake and processing of promotion actions (e.g., initiating and processing regular, meritorious, remedial, and posthumous reserve and active duty junior enlisted Marine promotions); AND providing advice on the promotion process to ensure procedural integrity and consistency.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
