About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre. Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States
.This position is a temporary position not to exceed (NTE) 1-year, however, at the discretion of management, the position may be converted to a term position up to a maximum not to exceed (NTE) 4-years.
Duties
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Solve complex administrative problems and suggest appropriate options for solving them.
Conduct management studies to identify/propose solutions to management problems.
Executive actions in terms of timeliness, coherence and completeness such as staff actions, briefings, and participation in conferences, programming and budget meetings, work groups, etc.
Oversee the day-to-day administrative and managerial operations of the Management Support Office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the US.
- Work schedule will initially be arduous, with extensive overtime.
- Sleeping arrangements may be limited to using a sleeping bag or in the vehicle used to move from location to location.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and executing a variety of management support services within the organization. 2. Reviews data and policies, initiates written changes to directives and regulations to provide recommendations regarding operations during natural disasters or emergencies.3. Conduct organization wide studies of various administrative function and processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
