You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Mission Support Division, Code 123300 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties
You will perform initial indoctrinations and re-indoctrinations and other training for briefed personnel.
You will assist with inventory management and control.
You will prepare waiver on deviations to the Special Access Programs security manuals and other correspondence relating to the Special Access Programs.
You will produce or arrange educational briefings to all briefed personnel.
You will perform weekly Automated Information Systems inspections to ensure users are complying with the strict security criteria for the special programs.
You will obtain approval from required agencies/sponsors to use various types of equipment within designated special security areas.
You will be responsible for developing Automated Information Security Standard practices and procedures.
You will be responsible for developing facility Security Standard practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Conducting investigations for discrepancies and security violations found in all areas of security including any special access programs;2) Monitoring compliance with security training requirements; 3) Performing monthly facility inscriptions and develops detailed work requests to construct or modify existing areas to meet various physical security requirements; 4) Reviewing and determining the type of security investigation performed; and 5) Reviewing nomination forms for personnel to verify they meet criteria needed to have access to high level sensitivity information.

Education

- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
- 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
