This position is within the Aviation Research Division, which seeks to develop scientific solutions to current and future air transportation challenges by conducting applied research and development in collaboration with industry, academia, and government.
Duties
The Data Scientist develops and applies innovative analytical approaches to support data-driven policy and operational decisions. Data Scientists are technical experts who possess deep knowledge and experience in the domains of data engineering, computer programming, statistics, mathematical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience applying analytical techniques to transform data to information using programming and statistical software to develop complex solutions to challenging hardware and/or software research problems, as well as summarizing, communicating, presenting results, and demonstration of leading others.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.This is an interdisciplinary announcement.
