You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in the Force Protection Emerging Threats Division at of Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties
You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, integrate, and share complex data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of global developments.
You will conduct cross-AOR, cross-functional analysis to detect, deter, and mitigate threats to Department of the Navy equities.
You will identify vulnerabilities associated with emerging technologies and traditional and non-traditional emerging threats to Navy equities worldwide.
You will perform internal and external collaboration with an enterprise-wide focus
You will identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytical tools and methodologies to fill the gaps.
You will answer requests for information and produce output in the form of intelligence assessments and finished intelligence products for internal and external customers.
You will perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of information.
You will possess an understanding of intelligence requirements, Intelligence Community Directives, and classified information requirements in accordance with applicable laws, polices and regulations.
You will proofread and review finished intelligence products for accurate use of grammar and content and to correct any grammatical, spelling, typographical, or compositional errors.
You will possess strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and communication skills. Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to professionally interact with customers
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GG-13: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Performing analytical tasks relative to cyber, counterintelligence, counter-terrorism, and/or criminal intelligence matters relating to political, economic, social, cultural, geographic, or technical issues; Researching, selecting, and compiling intelligence information in preparation of formal, written products; and Identifying complex intelligence gaps and evaluating the intelligence collected.
