This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM), Medicare Drug Rebate & Negotiations Group (MDRNG).
As a Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will serve as the technical advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to division leadership and group directors regarding the IRA Acquisition Strategy.
Duties
Develop new policies, procedures, and guidance materials or adapt existing guidance in response to new regulatory requirements and to promote efficiencies in program operations.
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of various contracts of scope and dollar amount to develop long-range strategic and short range- tactical procurement
plans.
Train team members or arrange for specific administrative or technical training necessary for accomplishment of individual and team tasks
Lead the team in making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Providing technical oversight of contractor performance; 2) Resolving budget and performance issues of contractors; 3) Leading teams in completing projects related to contracting and budgeting; and 4) Advising and briefing senior leadership on the contracting and budgeting process.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Current COR Level III certification is required for this position. You will need to annotate on your resume the date of your COR Level II certification OR attach a copy of your COR III certificate showing the date of certification (FAI CLIP Dashboard screenshot sufficient).If selected and you have only annotated your certification on your resume, you will be required to provide a copy of your certificate.
