You will serve as a Security Specialist in the NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
Duties
You will be the administrator responsible for the management, administration, and operation of the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Enterprise.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all applications within the ESS are properly configured, tuned, and operational.
You will be responsible for the procurement of additional capability and contract renewal tasks for maintenance contracts.
You will oversee and certify all new work, repair work, or maintenance done on the ESS and certify all additional equipment and capabilities installed as well as the functionality of all equipment according to Navy/DOD policy.
You will support, develop, and implement established policies and standards in the ESS for monitoring, analytics, and maintenance of systems and resources.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an Access Control/Alarm System (Lenel OnGuard) certification within 9 months of employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/Secret Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Operating, monitoring, maintaining, and configuring Electronic Security Systems (ESS) such as Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control and Alarm Systems, and Mass Notification Systems; 2) Maintaining and analyzing data as it relates to ESS; 3) Performing ESS systems event analysis to identify and mitigate outages, misconfigurations, and compliance deviations and ensuring incidents are entered into automated reporting systems; and 4) Demonstrating knowledge of security programs, computer/network administration principles, and methods to monitor and evaluate systems, recognize security breaches, and perform diagnostics.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
or
LL.M., if related.
