Duties
Responsible for the managing, planning, directing, and coordinating activities involved in the analysis, design, and development of education and training products related to USARPAC Leader Development.
Oversee the development and delivery of training for civilian, enlisted, noncommissioned, warrant officer, and officer with special emphasis on developing and fostering Theater Army specific professional development instruction.
Review policies and regulations from higher echelons which affect center responsibilities and ensure implementation with various organizational elements.
Attend conferences and meetings regarding future planning of Leadership Development courses, training development and management.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Basic Requirement for Training Development Specialist:
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Business Administration, Organizational Development, etc.
OR
B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Business Administration, Organizational Development, etc., plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described in A above.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and overseeing military/civilian leadership development programs, functions and activities; and performing analytical assignments and studies to evaluate the effectiveness of leader development initiatives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
