About the Position: The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Army. The position is located within US Army Aviation and Missile Command, AVIATION Directorate, UTILITY however, multiple vacancies maybe filled using this announcement.
Duties
Support program managers in the development of supportability requirements for weapon system documents to ensure sustainment requirements are accurately documented for program milestones.
Support program logisticians in the development of maintenance concepts and supply support elements to ensure quality sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, or programs.
Review analysis results and logistics product documentation to assist program logisticians in formulating cost effective sustainment strategies for major weapon systems.
Participate in logistics related Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for supportability functions such as Product Support Analysis, support requirements, publications, New Equipment Training in order to resolve logistics issues and problems.
Requirements
- Position requires the incumbent to possess, obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Position requires the incumbent to travel away from the duty station 15% of the time.
- Position requires Foundational Level 1 Acquisition Certification (Life Cycle Logistics) within 36 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: development of documentation (plans, production forecasts, funding and budget estimates and contract statements of work) which are required for provisioning of assigned systems in developmental life cycle phases, AND determine and recommend the range and quantity of repair parts and tools necessary to support management weapon systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
