You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (UTILITIES INFRASTRUCTURE CONDITION ASSESSMENT PROGRAM) in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties

You will assess and evaluate risks to utility systems using various Navy software systems. You will inspect and complete condition assessments of various utilities and record in enterprise database. You will manage and ensure accuracy of all utility data in enterprise database. You will support UEM, RPAO and GIS staff in timely completion of real property audits and tasking.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing utilities program progress and evaluating outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Determining objectives, sets priorities, and ensures sound management processes and procedures are in place; 2) Preparing detailed statements of work necessary to identify maintenance and repair of utilities systems; 3) Gathering information, organizing and maintaining information or information management systems for information systems and utilizing knowledge and usage for software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet); and 4) Providing utilities data to managers and staff in order to prioritize preventive maintenance, execute planned/unplanned mission expectations, and quantify project package data calls.
