This position is located in Cape Cod National Seashore.
This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1039 hours. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Cape Cod National Seashore is May - November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2025
Duties
Supervises field staff collecting recreational entrance fees ensuring established policies and procedures are followed.
Resolves complaints and grievances while counseling employees to mitigate conduct and performance issues.
Reconciles, remits, and deposits daily shift reports and donations using established policies, procedures and software.
Serves as a front-line representative of the park managing a high volume of personal contacts while maintaining professionalism and politeness.
Communicates tactfully in person, and/or over the phone/email, providing information to the public, staff, and other organizations.
Qualifications

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: work that involves directing daily activities of a fee collection operation such as, but not limited to: collecting, handling, tracking and depositing monies; auditing fee collection and deposit procedures; supervising/leading, scheduling and managing others involved in fee collection and visitor orientation; use technology and software in revenue and fee management; assisting fee staff and visitors with issue; resolving employee and visitor complaints. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.
