The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a/an Mortgagee Approval Analyst, you will:
Analyze complex mortgagee and lender applications for FHA approval including background, experience, credit and ethics reviews plus detailed examinations of financial statements.
Secure clarifications and or additional documentation and explanations of marginal data items.
Make recommendations for approval or rejection of applications.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Researching and interpreting policies, procedures, laws, guidelines & regulations related to mortgage or lending operations; and
- Determining whether financial institutions are in compliance with established requirements, rules, policies, procedures, laws, guidelines and/or regulations ; and
- Negotiating to find solutions to deficiencies, findings or violations with mortgage or lending operations.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Researching and interpreting policies, procedures, laws, guidelines & regulations related to mortgage or lending operations; and
- Determining whether financial institutions are in compliance with established requirements, rules, policies, procedures, laws, guidelines and/or regulations.
