The position is within the FAA, Aviation Safety (AVS), Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM), Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI), Aerospace Human Factors Research Division (AAM-500), NAS Human Factors Safety Research Lab (AAM-520). The Office of Aerospace Medicine develops and manages medical programs in support of Aviation Safety.
Duties
The Incumbent performs a combination of routine, multiple, and varying assignments under the limited direction of a manager, program manager or principal investigator and applies experience and advanced knowledge of analytical techniques in support of research projects addressing human performance in aviation occupations. Incumbent acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team, and may perform some leadership functions in retrieving, interpreting, and summarizing information to explore relationships between variables to support the creation of actionable products that provide predictive and prescriptive analytics to inform management decisions.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify at the FV-H (FG/GS 12) level,you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G (FG/GS 10/11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: experience planning, scheduling and conducting studies of proposed program plans; applying budgetary and financial management principle and techniques; experience completing budget estimates, justification statements, and budget execution plans; recording, monitoring, reporting and maintaining financial data; establishes and maintains databases to track, monitor, and analyze research project operational trends and prepares monthly, quarterly, and interim reports.ANDQuality Ranking Factor (QRF): Well qualified applicants will demonstrate of the following:1. Skill recognizing and effectively balancing the needs and interests of different groups in the course of work responsibilities (i.e. considers perspectives and agendas, utilizes formal channels and informal networks to accomplish assignments).2. Certified as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History.
