About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. This position serves as an investigator of offenses committed by or against military and civilian personnel, or against government and private property located on McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.
Duties
Investigates cases of loss, theft, pilferage, or damage to property and incidents of fraud, inventory discrepancies, narcotics use, assaults, rape, murder, robbery, etc.
Conducts investigations of Workers' Compensation claims and recipients of benefits to identify fraud or reduce cost.
Investigates criminal offenses in accordance with Federal Oklahoma, and local laws, AR 190-30 and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
Collaborates with Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies in investigations.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain eligibility for a Secret clearance.
- This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA FORM 5019-R and/or DA FORM 7412 or a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) and consent to initial and random testing.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
- Incumbent of this position must qualify with service weapon semi-annually.
- Incumbent is subject to an irregular tour of duty to cover 24 hours, 7 days a week operation.Incumbent may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and work may involve mandatory overtime.
- The incumbent of this position must possess and maintain a state issued driver's license.
- The incumbent of this position must obtain military police investigator certification.
- Position is both mission and emergency essential.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Conducting criminal investigations of suspected violations to enforce law and order; 2. Preparing detailed reports of criminal offenses, violations, incidents, and citations issued; 3. Investigating suspected Workers' Compensation fraud or abuse. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement or Forensic Science.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
