About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence - G4 at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Inspects facilities, reviews reports and advises personnel concerned. Assists as the CCoE fire marshall, safety officer, space manager, and security lock/key custodian. Assists in preparation of policy/SOPs/briefings on CCoE Outside Training Area (OTA) and main campus facilities. Projects ongoing costs of maintenance requests for building alterations resulting from known organizational and mission changes. Meets with contractor personnel to assure their understanding of contract terms and conditions. Monitors effectiveness of the plan, trains employees in assigned responsibilities, conducts drills, and coordinates with fire and civil emergency authorities. Establishes procedures (key control and electronic as applicable) to close and power down unused classrooms and offices in accordance with standard operating procedures. Serves as G4 technical representative during requirement forums such as 35%, 65% and 95% design reviews, interior decorating and furniture layout. Serves as a Technical Representative during furniture fit-out.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires that the incumbent must obtain and maintain SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Incumbent may be required to travel up to 10% of time.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
  • This is a Cyber Term position scheduled to last up to 4 years. A Cyber Term Appointment may be extended to a maximum of five years depending upon the needs of management.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Performing daily building management operations to ensure facilities engineering work request and service orders are initiated. 2) Conducting surveillance of facilities to ensure compliance with regulations, 3) Coordinating design effort to initiate contract issuance and 4) Analyzing operating trends by applying knowledge to develop long range programs for facilities maintenance. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as a any major field of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
