This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Special Operations Division.
This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Special Projects Section; Responsible for the program/budget function and assures that all programming systems and procedures are compatible with resources available and that they system provides adequate information on a timely basis.
Duties
As a Resource Manager your typical work assignments may include:
Research, compile, evaluate and summarize data concerning all assigned functions.
Maintain a balanced operational budget.
Establish and maintain liaison with key officials and personnel.
Prepare orders and/or requisitions for all services required to support the division.
Provide information, advice and assistance to managers to aid in managerial decision making for effective use of resources.
Requirements

- Incumbent is subject to random drug testing.

- Incumbent is required to become a certified Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Level I within 6 months of assignment.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in the following:
1). Performing a wide range of administrative and analytical duties in the formulation and presentation of budget and program estimates
2) Advising and assisting the Executive Program Manager with the development of acquisition strategies
3.) Serving as a consultant for budget/financial management program; and
4.) Coordinating with contractor/agency interfaces on requirements/costs and budgetary issues.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in the following:
1) Reviewing the execution of the Management Control Plan
2) Advising the Executive Program Manager on the status of the program
3) Serving as a consultant for budget/financial management programs
4) Responsible for formulating and presenting organization budget submissions
5) Analyzing new or proposed legislative actions, executive requirements and initiatives, assesses impact on program policies, processes, goals and objectives
6) Performing budgetary and program analyses.
