About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre. Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. This position is a temporary position not to exceed (NTE) 1-year, however, at the discretion of management, the position may be converted to a term position up to a maximum not to exceed (NTE) 4-years.

Duties

Implement the information security program for the USACERAC. Utilize training techniques, management practices, and emerging technology developments from other functional areas. Organize work and assignment of functions, to improve accomplishment of work and protective standards. Assign work requirements to subordinate levels of supervision, including explanation of functions, goals, and desired objectives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program.
  • Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the US.
  • Sleeping arrangements may be limited to using a sleeping bag, or in the vehicle used to move from location to location.
  • Employees must be prepared to live and work in extremely austere conditions. Work schedule will initially be arduous, with extensive overtime.
  • This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13.
  • It is approved by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs for use in the Army via the following memorandum.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment

Develop methods for providing support, surveys, and investigations of an unusual or complex nature requiring liaison with internal and external agencies and organizations. 3. Survey projects and facilities to ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements and accepted security standards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
