About the Position: Serves as the lead for the eSMS Builder system which is vital to the success of the Annual Work Plan in identifying key component areas to focus maintenance repair resources. This position is responsible for the overall execution of the program as well as accuracy of the data that will be used in the Annual Work Plan.

Duties

As a Facilities Maintenance and Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: responsible for ensuring all aspects of these programs are maintained in accordance with applicable regulations. Provides direction to personnel on the proper administration requirements for inspections and processing of construction and maintenance data. Develops sustainment plans for a variety of projects, including (but not limited to) major/minor maintenance and repair projects from inception to completion. Reviews proposed plans for Military Construction Army (MCA) projects for and incorporates their impact to the annual work plan. Serves as a primary Point of Contact (POC) for generating and providing information regarding BUILDER SMS and generating the Directorate's Annual BUILDER Work Plan. Develops scope of work for facility, utilities, grounds and equipment-in-place requirements; prepares estimate, funds request and justification.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Investigating/analyzing a variety of maintenance and repair problems; 2) Providing solutions to maintenance and repair problems; or 3) assisting personnel in maintenance and repair operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementProgram/Project ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
