About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), Logistics Management Office (LMO). This position is being filled as a Logistics Management Specialist DJ 3 (GS 11/12).

Duties

Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contract employees. Composes logistic reports or documentation for leadership. Maintains liaison and coordinates with key personnel to obtain understanding and acceptance of actions, programs, and/or recommendations which may be controversial. Assists various logistics team members with coordinating staff assistant visits and preparing documents. Researches information and develops new approaches to functions designed to reduce costs, increase efficiency, or adjust functions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assisting customers with logistical related programs, such as transportation, supply services, and maintenance of equipment; Preparing or reviewing scope of work descriptions or related service contract documents; and Utilizing automated system/programs for property accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-02(GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics or Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting and AcquisitionManages ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent DJ-02 (GS-09).
