You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Purchasing Requisition Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Corona, CA.

Duties

You will research, prepare, and complete purchase requisitions in compliance with current DoD/Navy directives, including changes made as a result of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP). You will interface with vendors and analyze data from several Navy Supply System and independent databases to determine the requisition method which best meets the needs of the customer while satisfying all financial and regulatory requirements. You will provide end-to-end support for document creation and procurement tracking of all purchase requisition document types to ensure requirements are adequately supported. You will analyze requirements against a myriad of complex regulatory and business rules to ensure compliance and completeness. You will provide status of all purchase requisitions and work with vendors and originators to ascertain best solutions to meet government, organizational, and requirement generator needs.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-05/08 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Navy supply policies and practices to research, prepare, complete, and track purchase requisitions in accordance with Navy directives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • A master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
  • Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
  • An LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled; OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
