You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR INFORMATION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will read, analyze, and interpret budgetary, legal, regulatory, and accounting reports.
You will provide alternative financial management solutions to changing program objectives.
You will provide effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and the use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will analyze and recommend cost and benefit alternatives for the financial management organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will implement internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
To qualify your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: formulating, reviewing and evaluating budget requests and estimates to support plans, programs and activities including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities and analyzing reports.
