You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG CHESAPEAKE UNDER NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG CHARLESTON.

Duties

You will provide continuity of facility grounds and maintenance essential to maintain a safe, healthy and comfortable facility. You will inspect physical plant structures, utilities, roadways, and surrounding grounds to ensure in compliance with regulations. You will plan and oversee work performed by military enlisted staff and prisoners as required to track office moves, vehicle maintenance and service records. You will coordinate with customers and service providers or other contracted support, vendors, NA VFAC, and Public Works points of contacts to ensure timely execution of moves, receipt, disposal, and or requested changes. You will advise leadership as to the adequacy and physical condition of facilities and recommends actions necessary to provide the facilities needed to maintain organizational readiness. You will manage all work, schedules shifts, sequence of operations, and assigns prisoner labor to accomplish specific work.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Inspect physical plant structures, utilities, roadways, and surrounding grounds to ensure in compliance with regulations; 2) Provide continuity of facility grounds and maintenance essential to maintain a safe, healthy and comfortable facility; and 3) Oversee compliance with all certifications, safety, fire prevention, and security program requirements. The agency shall also impose upon employees a continuing affirmative duty to disclose and such misconduct. Agency policy states that material omissions regarding such misconduct, or the provision of materially false information, shall be grounds for termination.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.

OR

Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.

OR

Have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.

OR

Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
