You will serve as a Industrial Specialist in the Naval Air Warfare Center. Aircraft Division. (NAWCAD), SE & ALRE Group, Prototype and Manufacturing Division, ALRE Flight Safe and Quality Assurance Engineering Branch (BL41600) of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

You will function as the QA expert on matters pertaining to the manufacture, assembly and refurbishment of critical ALRE systems. You will develop or lead the modification of quality plans for equipment being repaired or overhauled and resolve discrepancies when documentation is ambiguous or incomplete. You will confirm action items discovered during risk assessments are satisfactorily resolved and safety is improved You will assess knowledge, experience, and skill requirements for team members to assist in the development of team members

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. providing leadership and technical guidance of team members in support of NAWCAD and other Defense/Non-Defense sponsored programs. 2. Performing analyses by reviewing technical documentation, engineering drawings and data, pertinent specifications, and available prototypes to identify characteristics critical to product acceptability. 3. Serving as a technical expert on the application and limitations of proven concepts and practices of the functional area. 4. leading team members in the conduct of audits of products and processes for conformance to drawings and specifications, and to detect processing and technical documentation deficiencies. 5. Applying statistical theory in the preparation of process control method sheets to establish data collection criteria and requirements to identify, monitor, and minimize process variables.
