As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as Section Manager directly supervising multiple employees and/or multiple organizational units.

Duties

The Section manager regularly coordinates with other Managers across multiple organizational units.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Employee will report to FAA facility

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience: To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.Specialized experience includes:Experience contributing to and supporting development of strategic plans for a complex organization.Experience in developing plans and techniques to improve programs.Experience managing and directing work involved in the application of aviation safety regulations, policies and objectives to identify, define, or organize work for multiple work activities.Experience setting priorities and establishing schedules for completion.Experience determining the levels of staffing and resources needed to accomplish goals by utilizing data as an analytical tool in identifying trends, adjusting work programs, and redirecting resources to improve the quality and effectiveness of assigned aviation programs.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSAs): As a part of the Federal-Wide Hiring Reform Initiative (streamlining the hiring process), the FAA is committed to eliminating the use of the Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA) narratives from the initial application in the hiring process for all announcements.
