Serve as a Project Manager, providing professional electrical engineering design, advice, and guidance on the planning, designing, constructing, expansion, rehabilitation and/or re-purposing of existing and/or new structures and facilities. Project work may include campsites, visitor centers, lodging, employee housing, potable water systems, wastewater systems, communication systems, roads, bridges, trails, parking, bus facilities, transportation systems, and administrative structures.
Duties
Manage Electrical/Architectural/Engineering IDIQ contracts and multiple self-performed (Engineer of Record) projects.
Coordinate with other impacted divisions regarding projects, examples: Contracting, Planning, Compliance, Natural and Cultural Resources, etc.
Serve as multidisciplinary technical expert. Monitor quality control of deliverables and review other PM Electrical project scopes. Provide comments to maintain quality.
Create and coordinate work with Parks (clients) and stakeholders to design and document scope of work for Contracting and construction. Providing Technical Expertise throughout construction.
Assist in developing standards for Electrical Engineering related projects (Facility electrical, lighting Fire Alarm, etc.).

GS-0850-12: Basic Education Requirement (You must provide transcripts):
A. Degree: professional engineering. To be acceptable, the curriculum must: (1) be in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience - college level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering. The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following (see U.S. Office of Personnel Management qualifications standards operating manual for specifics: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/all-professional-engineering-positions-0800/): (1) professional registration; (2) written test (EIT); (3) specified academic courses; (4) related curriculum. In addition to the basic requirement, you must also have specialized experience as shown:
IN ADDITION: To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience is experience as a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer demonstrating skills in facility design and construction (Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Special Systems, etc....) which included the development of Electrical support to architectural project construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates as well as project management of multiple concurrent projects as substantiated by my resume/application; knowledge of project management principles and concepts; application of Electrical Engineering and related architectural principles, practices, procedures of project development; managing contractors or other project team members and providing operational leadership principles and risk management. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Must hold and maintain a Professional Engineering or Architecture License.

accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
