The Air Traffic Organization has 35,000 controllers, technicians, engineers, and support personnel whose efforts keep aircraft safe, separated, and on time. Flight Program Operations is responsible for all agency flight operations, and all aspects of FAA Flight Program safety, administration, operations, training, and maintenance. We operate a fleet of FAA-owned aircraft at eight facilities nationwide and establish standards for operating all agency-owned aircraft and aircraft/aircraft services.

Duties

The Deputy Vice President (DVP), Flight Program Operations manages all aspects of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Program safety, administration, operations, training, maintenance, and policy. The incumbent oversees multiple missions in FAA aircraft (owned, leased, rented, and unmanned aircraft systems [UAS]), including aviation safety training; flight inspection; research, development, test and evaluation support; and critical event response/ transportation.

Include in your description ways that you applied long-range vision, developed strategies, and applied innovative ideas and techniques.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT: Experience leading, overseeing, and providing strategic direction in support of a civil aviation organization responsible for managing flight operations (safety, policy, maintenance, technical training, and aircraft acquisition and disposal) while operating in accordance with either 14 CFR Part 121 or 135 and/or 41 CFR Part 102.
