This position is located in Region IV, Office of the Regional Administrator, Allegations Coordination and Enforcement Staff (ACES) in Arlington, TX.  The supervisor is Beth Alferink.  This position is in the Bargaining Unit of National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.  This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure and security ownership reporting requirements. 

Duties

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Senior Enforcement Specialist duties.Such duties include but are not limited to:1. Prepares enforcement documents in a manner that provides thorough analysis of issues, explanation of facts, and rationale for proposal.2. Reviews all background information related to the case, including inspection reports, Licensee Event Reports, OI Reports, DOL decisions and reports, and relevant regulatory requirements.3. Evaluates enforcement cases requiring the concurrence of the Office of Enforcement/Office of General Counsel, including civil penalties, orders, and Severity Level I, II, or III violations.4. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Region's enforcement program.5. Keeps abreast of significant escalated enforcement actions concerning other regions, and summarizes and provides those actions to regional management and the supervisor.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.  A description of how you possess the specialized experience as well as how you meet the qualifications should be addressed in your resume. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:Specialized experience includes experience that demonstrates knowledge of NRC regulatory and enforcement philosophy, policy, program, and regulations. Thorough knowledge of NRC regulations, policies, procedures, guidance and standards.
