About the Position: Serves as the Inmate Labor Program Assistant with the overall management of the Federal Inmate Labor work Detail Programs. Position requires a considerable amount of field work.
Duties
In conjunction with Federal Corrections Institution (FCI) officers, conducts daily (morning, noon and evening) headcount of inmate work details.
Assist in collecting, researching, analyzing, storing and maintaining statistical data for reports generated to other headquarters or the Federal Corrections Institute (FCI).
Assist in the development of installation policies, plans, and processes to execute the Federal Civilian Inmate Labor Program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must maintain a valid state drivers license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience using automated systems such as word, excel and access to create reports and/or input data and conducting checks on inmates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
