This position is located at HUD's Office of Inspector General, Assistant Inspector General for Operations. As the Chief Administrative Officer, you will share responsibility for executive leadership and direction of programs related to strategic and tactical planning, policy, budget; procurement; contracting; space and property management; HR management and administration; information technology; equal employment opportunity; and performance management.
Duties
As the Chief Administrative Officer, you will:
- Identify and integrate key policy and management issues that affect the organization. Participate in planning, establishing, and achieving the OIG goals and priorities and make executive level program decisions impacting the structure, operations, and management of the organization.
- Develop and distribute a variety of administrative and management reports both internally and externally about various activities of the OIG. This activity includes the preparation and coordination of the statutorily required semi-annual reports to the Congress on the activities of the OIG.
- Coordinate strategic and contingency planning, including Continuity of Operations Plans; evaluation and performance management reporting activities including GPRA programs, policies, and procedures to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with acceptable standards.
- Provide expert professional advice and assistance to the OIG components and Departmental organizations.
- Direct assessments of OIG programs, policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with acceptable standards.

ECQ 5 Building Coalitions: This core qualification requires the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and Local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals.

MTQ 1: Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective business strategies for planning, management, and administration of agency support operations, including human capital management, budget formulation and execution, and procurement oversight.
