THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST, Position Description Number NGT5157000 and is part of the MD JFHQ G1, National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Performs work to manage health services activities, including plans and operations, managed care, human resource management, logistics management, patient administration, budgetary and fiscal management, medical manpower, medical facility management, biometrics, medical recruiting, and aeromedical evacuation. Work may include directing the hospital accreditation program and management improvement studies. Provides support to health care management officials by analyzing, evaluating, advising on and/or coordinating health care delivery systems and operations. Manages and performs public health activities and programs. Provides administrative oversight to the Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness Program and the related Occupational Health programs. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: have at least one year of specialized experience in the applicable career field at the GS-07 level or at a level comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 level if Military or outside the Federal service Quality of Experience - Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.
