As a Review Appraiser you will be responsible for reviewing staff and fee appraisal reports and providing technical guidance regarding diverse and precedent-setting issues which are impacted by the appraisal field. This position is located in the Public Buildings Service (PBS), Portfolio Management Division.We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
This position is located in the Public Buildings Service (PBS), Portfolio Management Division. This Division maximizes and enhances the value of the Public Buildings Service (PBS) real estate portfolio and client relationships.
Requirements
- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
- Direct Deposit of salary check to financial organization required.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $115076 per year. Salary is determined by the location for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience:
reviewing and analyzing complex or controversial appraisal reports;
evaluating the impact of new or modified appraisals; and
providing guidance on the interpretation and implementation of new and modified policies.
Selective Placement Factor (SPF): In addition to the qualification requirements listed above, you must also meet the following SPF, which has been identified as: Possession of a State Certified General Real Property Appraiser license with credentials based on the minimum certification criteria issued by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of the Appraisal Foundation. You must provide a photocopy of your State Certified General Real Property Appraiser's License with your application.
