Duties

Manages, plans, and directs the daily operations of a golf course facility to include golf course maintenance. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base. As a second level supervisor reviews the actions of subordinate supervisors including other PGA Professionals. Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, and develops activity financial plan and operating budgets to include Capital Purchase and Minor Construction. Prepares financial and operational briefings as required. Monitors the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and retail items for the activity. Provides and maintains teaching program for patronage at the individual and group levels, to include personal lesson participation.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be willing and have the ability to obtain a PGA member within 2 years of hiring.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience managing or directing the activities of a golf course. A 4 year college degree in a business related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
