This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center, Office of the Deputy Director, Administrative Management Staff, Support Services Office (SSO).
Incumbent maintains inventory control records, monitors and evaluates fluctuations in rates of usage transactions, interprets and applies guidelines for identifying supply needs, and resolves issues in supply operations, planning, or program management.
Duties
Analyzes the applicability of guidelines to specific circumstances and proposes regulatory or procedural changes designed to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of supply controls.
Plans for and determines current and future requirements for supply items, such as, office supplies, forms, paper, etc.
Coordinates with contractors and/or vendors to expedite deliveries.
Prepares monthly supply usage report to track organizations' supply usage, and bill non-organizations for supplies utilized.
Identifies requirements and potential problems resulting from changes in organizational missions or levels of operation
by constant interaction with personnel throughout agency.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Specialized Experience:GS-09: Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal Service or
equivalent responsibility in the private sector/pay systems that equipped me with the particular competencies to successfully
perform as an Inventory Management Specialist. Such experience includes: 1) Performs inventory checks and maintain accuracy
and control of supplies and equipment using automated IT supply/inventory database systems and computer-generated
products; 2) Receives, handle, store, and coordinate delivery of supply and equipment using appropriate handling materials and
conveyance; and 3) Interprets and applies appropriate guidelines for determining supply needs and forecasting requirements.
OR
Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcript.)
OR
Have two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. (Note: You must attach a copy
of your transcript.)
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcript.)
OR
Have an equivalent combination of successfully completed specialized experience and higher-level graduate education described above that makes up 100% of the qualifications required for the position.
Time in Grade: Merit Promotion(Current Federal)applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. (e.g. one year time-in grade at the GS-07 grade level for consideration for the GS-09 grade level). Time-in-Grade requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
