This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Office of Global Affairs (OGA), Office of Pandemics and Emerging Threats (PET), located in Washington, District of Columbia.

Duties

-Planning, developing, implementing, and administering Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) programs for communicable and vector-borne diseases or other preventable conditions, in accordance with HHS initiatives, policy and programs. -Planning strategies and priorities for program development. -Responsible for developing, and disseminating guidance, policies and procedures in the execution and management of program activities. -Leading departmental health initiatives/programs that are either Presidential initiatives or Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) initiatives and familiar with the subject matter.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: GS-13: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing all the duties listed below: Delivering public health or health-related programs in an international setting; Analyzing public health or health related programs to determine how organizations interact with international health partners; and Providing guidance to stakeholders on public health or health-related programs.
