Duties

Additional Information: The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is March - November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: March 9. Major Duties: Performs a variety of duties of general nature in the routine operations, maintenance, and minor repairs of structures, utilities electrical and plumbing components, campgrounds, picnic areas, and visitor centers. Cleans restrooms, comfort stations, offices, shops, and other public use areas. Provides janitorial services as well as effecting repairs such as unplugging toilets, replacing washers, and minor repairs to surfaces such as walls, floors, and partitions Performs general grounds maintenance utilizing push mowers, weed eaters, riding mower, and all-terrain vehicles. Cleans and repairs grills and tables, collects and disposes of trash and litter, rebuilds tent pads, and does minor sign repair. Required to render moderate to heavy assistance at times to other buildings operations. Work would include snow removal around facilities, storm cleanup, painting, utility work, and assisting journeyman level employees in completing maintenance projects. Operates light automotive equipment, Lawn care equipment, shop tools, and power tools

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the Work of the Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies. Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605(2) for CTAP and 5 CFR 330.704 for ICTAP. This includes a copy of the agency notice, a copy of their most recent Performance Rating, and a copy of their most recent SF-50 noting current position, grade level, and duty location.
