You will serve as a FLEET SUPPORT TEAM (FST) LEADER in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST FST DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will demonstrate leadership and the ability to develop work plans, objective, and strategy for the team to engage in to meet the organizations goals.
You will coach the team members in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, and provide advice to the team in identifying the parameters of a viable solution or solution set.
You will negotiate workplace issues affecting covered employees while recommending appropriate resolutions to management.
You will establish benefits for all alternatives, identifies associated costs, and submit results/recommendations as a final cohesive team decision.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following duties:
Demonstrate leadership - the ability to develop work plans, objectives, and strategies for the team to engage in to meet the organization's goals.Coach the team members in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, and provide advice to the team in identifying the parameters of a viable solution or solution set. Negotiate workplace issues affecting covered employees while recommending appropriate resolutions to management, as well as recommending individual and team awards and recognition, and rewards. Ability to determine staffing and resource requirements based on Command and program objectives and milestones, and once defined, the ability to formulate these requirements in action plans that the team can carry out. Clearly articulate the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values to the team and ensure the team's products and services are aligned to these requirements. Accept authority for the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of program requirements to meet Fleet operational requirements. Ability to resolve internal and external conflicts among engineering, logistics, contractors, and program management; establish benefits for all alternatives, identifies associated costs, and submits results/recommendations as a final cohesive team decision.
