This position is a senior analyst located in the Department of Treasury, Departmental Offices, Assistant Secretary for Management/Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Privacy, Transparency, and Records (PTR).
Duties
As a Records and Information Management Specialist, you will:
Provide technical oversight in leading projects and studies in the compliance and improvement of RIM programs.
Responsible for independently monitoring, tracking and assessing the status of the overall RIM compliance program including the relationship between the Departmental Offices and the Treasury Bureaus.
Provide analytical and other support to ensure the proper implementation and compliance of RIM program requirements.
Independently identify, develop, and implement necessary policies and procedures for RIM programs.
Conduct briefings and prepare comprehensive reports to keep managers and senior level management advised of project plans and progress and to communicate program status, issues, and recommendations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14, specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent in either public or private sectors, that is directly related to:
Providing authoritative guidance on, and expert technical oversight over compliance with records and information management laws; AND
Leading projects to strengthen compliance with records and information management laws; AND
Independently monitoring, tracking and assessing agency compliance with records and information management program(s); AND
Independently performing complex analysis to identify gaps in information management program compliance, making sound recommendations to address such gaps, and implementing strategies to ensure compliance and accountability.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
