About the Position: Serves as a Senior Project Engineer/Architect for the Formerly Utilized Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) Project Office which is assigned responsibility for management of activities related to the remediation of the FUSRAP sites in the St. Louis district. This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades GS-12 and GS-13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.

Duties

Assigns work, requests recruitment and/or in-service placement assistance, interviews and recommends selections for hiring and promotions. Performs technical oversight and supervises employees in performance of their duties and in preparing career plans, determines and provides necessary on or off the job training, and develops performance requirements/expectations. Receives complaints or grievances, resolves these within scope of authority, refers others to higher authority with appropriate recommendations. Keeps informed of work progress through review of quality assurance and progress reports and discussions with subordinates. Furnishes guidance and makes decisions on problems presented by subordinates and contractors concerning interpretation of drawings, plans, specifications, contract provisions, etc. Implements policy changes and management improvement activities as prescribed by District policy. Ensures the accomplishment of the construction and maintenance program on civil works within assigned area of responsibility.
