This position is in the OS, with the Office of Facilities and Administrative Services (OFAS), Facility Management Division (FMD), Space & Alterations Services Branch, located in Washington DC. As it pertains to this position, OFAS, FMD, provides office and equipment moving and warehousing services for the Secretary's Immediate Office, and Bureaus and OS Offices located in the Stewart Lee Udall Buildings, and the Washington DC, Metropolitan Area.

Duties

Point of contact for Moving Services, unassisted, prioritizes assignments and makes all of the arrangements with Departmental officials for the scheduled pickup and delivery of designated items within Departmental buildings, off-site, and/or to and from storage facilities. Assists in answering customer moving service requests via phone or email. Implements, supports, and maintains records and filing systems to contract movers, moves, furniture storage, equipment and related duties as assigned. Create and edit documents using MS-Office and Adobe Acrobat. Performs coordination and execution of move services requiring experience regarding the management of office moves, coordination of contract movers, planning and contract execution, and other special needs of the organization. Project tracking and documentation.

At theGS-5 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications: A. Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; OR B. At least 3 years of progressively responsible general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that includes experience point of contact for customers, scheduling pickup and delivery of items, providing customer service via phone and email, maintaining records, and coordinating program activities;OR C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
