This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable software applications to integrate into the CI/CD pipeline. Scripting competencies in Powershell. Platform Competencies in Linux and Windows (Desktop and Core). Development environment competencies in Git, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. Programming competencies in .NET, Go, JSON, YAML, XML, HTML, Python, Java, JavaScript, and CSS/SASS. Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD toolchain performance issues. Integrate tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps into the pipeline. Develop automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and system-level testing. Monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities detected during the pipeline process. Document application architecture, APIs, and CI/CD workflows. Manage servers, virtual machines, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Apply patches and updates to secure pipeline servers and components. Address system failures or security breaches swiftly to minimize downtime. Work with DevOps teams to integrate development and operations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
• This is an Army Information Assurance (IA) Workforce Position. Selectee must satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation may be conducted.
• This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• This position requires TDY/Travel up to 25% of the time, (sometimes on short notice) to worldwide locations, using the fastest mode of transportation available.
