You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Branch of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will process request for personnel security investigations,submitting and reviewing local records checks, conducting prescreening interviews and conducting
fingerprint capturing.
You will assist as a junior Subject Matter Expert (SME) inspector for the Information and Personnel Security Program (IPSP) for Training Command, Marine Corps.
You will manage the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, ensuring all mattersunder the 13 adjudicative guidelines are reported to the DOD Consolidated Adjudication Facility (CAF), as required per applicable laws and policies.
You will perform inspection for the continuous evaluation of security readiness throughout the TECOM enterprise, expanding from east to west coasts.
You compile and analyzes the data fields for determination of security actions and planning that are derived from this database and are submitted for review and approval in the Security end of Year Report.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: practicing commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies; experience in evaluating the impact of factors (e.g., cost, personnel qualifications, etc.) on resolving security issues; and experience in addressing and resolving security questions using knowledge from multiple areas of security specialization.
GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: practicing commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies; familiarity with information security, personnel security, and/or classification security.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree

GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
OR
Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
