Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions including the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will be in non-pay status for approximately 1 pay period, sometime in February, and you will be in pay status for the remainder of the year.
Duties
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, Ability to troubleshoot, make common electrical repairs in water plants (equipment, breakers, motors). Ability to maintain water plant buildings in rodent free, clean conditions.
Operation of Water Treatment Systems. Ability and certificates required to operate and maintain one multi-media, one clarifier multi-media and three 3 stage bag filter systems according to State and Federal Regulations. Knowledge to operate, maintain and repair septic tank/leach field systems, dosing stations, lift stations, RV dump station and vault toilets.
Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Ability to diagnose and perform all plumbing and electrical installations and repairs adherent to water plants and distribution. Ability to diagnose and perform repairs to wastewater systems, leach fields, dosing chambers and lift stations.
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints). Ability to keep clear and concise records in plants and on computer involving spreadsheets, reports to State and Federal Agencies
Use of Measuring Instruments. Ability to perform laboratory tests, mix solutions, bi-monthly bacteriological samples to State and Federal Regulations.
