You will serve as an OPERATIONS AND READINESS MANAGER in the JOINT PERSONNEL AND READINESS DIVISION of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will oversee the preparation of personnel accountability reports and force laydown reports submitted to the Joint Staff and Secretary of Defense.
You will assist with exercise planning consisting of joint personnel training objects and joint master scenario event lists.
You will be responsible for personnel visibility and accountability of all DoD affiliated personnel operating during crisis and contingency operations.
You will provide guidance on tasking messages, annexes, and other operation orders to implement theater personnel accountability and strength reporting.
You will provide input to support developing, reviewing, and validating joint personnel support estimates, annexes, and appendices for Concept Plans.
You will advise and assist in manpower sourcing requirements in support of operational and contingency planning.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing, providing, and implementing personnel policy and guidance relating to personnel accountability, strength reporting, and readiness processes and systems; 2) Managing reporting of personnel accountability and strength reporting of DoD affiliated personnel ; 3) Applying knowledge of joint operations and planning, and joint personnel support; 4) Developing and executing operational and contingency plans; and 5) Managing and leading teams.
