Duties

Execute arrest and apprehension procedures. Conduct investigations of certain felonies and all non-felony matters involving crimes against property or crimes against civilians, military and their dependents. Enforce laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and Army Regulations to protect life and property. Conduct interviews to gather information or identify suspects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Secret Clearance is required for this position
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This is a Drug Testing position.
  • Requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • This position requires the employee to wear a uniform or other appropriate professional attire provided by the employer while on duty.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for this position based on the provisions of the Lautenberg Amendment
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the USAMPS Civilian Police Academy program of instruction or AR190-56 identified equivalent within one year of employment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the USAMPS Military Police Investigations course of instruction or AR190-56 identified equivalent within one year of employment.
  • This position requires certification in the Individual Reliability Program in accordance with AR 190-56.
  • This position will require the incumbent to pass the primary physical fitness/agility test within 30 days of employment and an annual one thereafter per AR 190-56.
  • Must meet annual training and re-certification requirements.
  • Incumbent must successfully complete semi-annual qualification on his or her assigned weapon.
  • Incumbent must be able to be qualified and certified in the use of chemical aerosol irritants, tear gas, radar gun and breathalyzer equipment.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
  • This position is subject to a one year probationary period.
