The New Mexico VA Healthcare Network is recruiting for a Senior Social Worker (Program Coordinator). The Program Coordinator has programmatic responsibility and oversight Complex Care and Guardianship cases within the inpatient setting. The incumbent performs work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs.

Duties

Duties include but not limited to: Oversees the daily operation of the program, develop policies and procedures for program operation, and prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. Provides analysis and evaluation of clinical program data and computerized programs to identify system-wide trends and needs to enhance the quality of service. Administratively responsible for the clinical programming and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. Develops, implements, evaluates and reports on program performance, including assigned measures, monitors, data and other metrics of interest. Provides clinical supervision for licensure or certification. Coordinates team reviews of medical records and assures that the documentation of the assigned staff reflects the services provided and meets requirements of JCAHO, VHA, Medical Center, and Social Work Service documentation policies and standards. Initiate and conduct a variety of program or service audits and complete designated clinical practice audits and reports, including productivity assessments Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00AM - 04:30PM Telework: Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Qualifications

Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f). Licensure: Candidate must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level which included an advanced generalist or clinical examination, unless they are grandfathered by the state in which they are licensed to practice at the advanced practice level (except for licenses issued in California, which administers its own clinical examination for advanced practice) and they must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Education: Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for master's degree in social work. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Grade Determinations: In addition to the basic requirements, applicants must have one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience In addition to the experience above, candidates must demonstrate all of the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs). Knowledge of program coordination and administration which includes consultation, negotiation, and monitoring. Knowledge and ability to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program. Ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff assigned to the program. Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). Ability to provide training, orientation, and guidance within clinical practice.
