Duties

Responsible for Sports fields, softball complex, batting cages, disc golf course, tennis courts and trails. Coordinate programming for Intramural sports and Commanders Cup to include: bowling, golf, basketball, flag football, disc golf, softball and more. Supervise field and grounds crew and facility maintenance crew. Performs other duties as assigned.

• May be required to obtain and maintain CPR and/or First Aid certification.
• Travel may be required to perform the duties of this position.
• Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, school or college; or planning, teaching, or evaluating a physical education curriculum, for a secondary or higher academic level. Experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience may be substituted with a four year degree with an emphasis related to the duties performed e.g. physical education/sports/fitness/recreation etc. (NOTE: Transcripts are required at the time of application if qualifying based on education alone). This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Best Qualified Criteria: 1. Experience with managing and executing a Sports' Official contract. 2. Twelve (12) months experience with maintaining softball and/or football field. 3. Experience with DFMWR Intramural Sports programming and/or Army Commander's Cup. 4. Experience with all of the following: Army Community Recreation Reports Online System or similar program, and RecTrac or similar POS System, and Outlook/Excel/Word. **Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
